Turkey has been undergoing a huge transformation on public administration system in the process of the accessing Eurepean Union menbership.
In this scope a new public finanial system lounched by Act 5018 and departments of strategic development were established in public bodies in 01/01/2006 with closing the Bord of Searcing, Planning and Coordinating.

Basicly our  duties are as follows.

• Within the framework of national development strategy and policies to determine medium and long term strategy and policies
• Coordinating the preparation of the strategic plan and performance program
• Preparing multi-annual Strategic Plan for MoJ
• Preparing the MoJ budget, which includes the following two years budget estimations
• Preparing a detailed expenditure program within the framework of budget principles
• Preparing the accountability report of the MoJ
• Coordinating the preparation of the investment program
• Performing ex ante financial control activity,
• Preparing the budget final account,
• Establishing performance and quality criteria
• Setting up and performing the internal control system
• Rendering services related to management information systems,

Beside these duties Department of Strategic Development  has been carriying out these activities.

• Preparing and monitoring Judicial Reform Strategy
• Distributing courts allocations according to perfomance based budget program
• Performing projects which are funded EU and UND

- Enhanced Institutional Capacity of the Legal Aid Service
- Strengthened Relationship Between Mass Media and Judiciary in Turkey
- Development of Preventive for Legally Empowered Citizens and Increased Access to Justice in Turkey
